Nominate for the hello SA Top Tour Guide Award

Launching in 2026, the hello SA Top Tour Guide Awards recognise the significant contribution quality tour guides make  in providing memorable experiences to visitors.

This awards program presents a great opportunity for accredited businesses and tour operators to acknowledge their tour guides, and includes a written submission (max 5,000 words) and interview.

Eligibility includes tour guides working in natural, cultural and heritage environments, in either a paid or volunteer capacity. Entries are open to guides employed by, or contracted to, a tourism business, as well as sole traders operating under their own business name.

Nominations must be made by businesses and operators who hold current Sustainable Tourism Accreditation.

Entry requirements

Each entry will include:

• A letter of reference.
• A written submission against set criteria (between 2,000 and 5,000 words).
  • The submission should focus on activities that took place in the 2025 calendar year.
  • Tour guides who work on multiple tours should preferably focus on one tour, but can provide examples from other tours when addressing the criteria.
• A 30-minute interview with the judging panel (in person or online).
  • Interview questions will be supplied to the entrant prior to the interview.
