Nominate for the hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards
The hello SA Top Tourism Town Awards showcases towns and communities that make South Australia a great place to visit.
These awards celebrate the value of tourism to regional communities, recognising the diversity, character and standout experiences that drive visitation and local pride.
Nominations are open to any city or town, specifically relating to geographical towns and population centres, not Local Government Areas.
Nominations can be made by Accredited Visitor Information Centres, Local Councils or a Local Tourism Association that holds QTF Tourism Association Certification.
In 2026, there are three categories towns can nominate for:
- Top Tourism Town Award – those with a population over 5,000 people (Capital cities CANNOT enter, but cities CAN enter)
- Small Tourism Town Award – those with a population under 5,000 people, but greater than 1500
- Tiny Tourism Town – those with a population under 1500 (Census data from the ABS should be used to determine population size)

Prizes
The three winning Top, Small and Tiny Tourism Towns will receive an amazing prize pack including:
- 1 x segment on Hello SA TV (4-5 minutes) aired on Channel 9 Season 5 2026. Includes filming*, pre-production, post production and TV segment given back to winning town after aired on TV for reuse in own marketing content.
- Inclusion in shared triple page Adelady Magazine, Top Tourism Town editorial feature. 45,000 copies of this publication circulated across South Australia. Article shared on social media channels once magazine has been released.
- Certificate and trophy
- Invaluable publicity across media and social media channels
- Automatic entry into the Australian Top Tourism Town Awards and invitation to attend prestigious national event at Parliament House, Canberra.
- Bragging rights!
* content dependent on filming schedule and availability of crew to take place after the program concludes. This segment may be repurposed filed footage of your town or region.
Entry requirements
Each entry must feature:
- A travel/tourism focused website that includes the town.
- An overview of the town, including its target market and commitment to tourism.
- An engaging editorial article focussing on tourism within the town.
- A short video which highlights the key attractions and experiences in the town.
- A travel itinerary.
- Provision of accommodation and attractions/experiences in your town to represent the town’s consumer review score.

Consumer Voting for People’s Choice Award: May
Results announced: Mid June at the 2026 South Australian Tourism Conference
