Voting is now open for the 2018 RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award, recognising a high level of service excellence provided by two South Australian Tourism Awards finalists.

The RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award was introduced into the Awards program last year and received over 10,000 votes, with the enchanting Adelaide Zoo taking home the win.

This year two finalists will be awarded the RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award, recognising an accommodation provider with the highest number of votes, as well as an experience and / or service provider.

South Australian Tourism Industry Council (SATIC) Chief Executive Officer Shaun de Bruyn says the RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award is the only award to be entirely voted on by the public.

“SATIC is thrilled to once again be partnering with RAA to deliver the RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award,” says Mr de Bruyn.

“It is fantastic to be able to provide an opportunity for the public to get involved with the awards program and vote for who they believe to be South Australia’s best providers of service excellence within the tourism sector.”

RAA Travel spokeswoman Monica McLaren said the organisation was delighted with the popularity of the inaugural award and is keen to continue its partnership with SATIC.

“RAA Travel is excited at the opportunity to recognise two outstanding tourism operators as voted by the people of South Australia,” says Ms McLaren.

Voters will automatically go into the running to receive one of three prizes up for grabs, thanks to RAA.

Voting closes on Monday, 8 October 2018. Prizes winners will be randomly drawn on Wednesday, 10 October 2018.

The winners of the RAA People’s Choice Tourism Awards will be revealed at the 2018 South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner on Friday, 9 November 2018 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Please note: only finalists in categories 1-25 (excluding category 14 – Destination Marketing) are eligible to enter the RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award.
