Key Dates for 2022

  • Wednesday, 27 July – Non-accredited entrants submit Business Standards questions
  • Wednesday, 27 July – Non-Star Rated entrants submit Accommodation Standards questions
  • Wednesday, 10 August – Submissions due: 12pm (categories 1 – 15)
  • Wednesday, 10 August – Submissions due: 4pm (categories 16 – 26)
  • Wednesday, 21 September – Submissions due (categories 27 & 28)

Entrant Guidebook

This guide aims to help entrants through each stage of the Tourism Awards process, from collating the information you will require to start your submission through to submitting it online. It also contains information on the support that is available to businesses that enter the Awards, key dates, the judging process and site visits, the rules for entry, and advice on how to tackle specific questions. We encourage you to refer to it regularly and to use the checklists provided to ensure you stay on track with your submission.

Site Verification Visit Info

These questions are provided to judges to outline key considerations when assessing the visitor experience and customer service provided by an entrant.

Online Reviews

The online review will be conducted by a judge from July onwards, prior to the Site Verification Visit to assess the entrant’s online presence including their website, social media channels and external listing sources.

Additional Site Visit Questions (for non-QTAB)

If a business is QTAB accredited but has not undergone an onsite QTAB audit within the last 3 years OR is not QTAB accredited, the site visit judge will also ask these additional questions about the policies and procedures that guide your business operations.
