Camp & Adventure Accreditation

Camp & Adventure Accreditation

Camp & Adventure Accreditation ensures that residential camping and outdoor experiences can be conducted in a safe manner for staff and guests.

The variety of residential camps and outdoor experiences ensures that different groups can enjoy experiences, from large to small, children or adult, school, special interest, or communities. Accreditation recognises this diversity and ensures that safety is paramount regardless of the type of experience on offer.

Why should I be Camp & Adventure Accredited?

  • Camp & Adventure Activity Accreditation addresses many of the issues that are covered in the development of a business operating plan, with a focus on the key elements that are part of the day-to-day running of a camp & adventure activity.
  • Use and display the Camp & Adventure brandmarks, only available to licensed operators.

Why should I be Camp & Adventure Accredited?

Camp & Adventure Accreditation is an additional module of the Quality Tourism Framework, and businesses must first be Quality Tourism Accredited.

Businesses must then demonstrate their commitment to conducting camping and outdoor experiences in a safe manner, and provide evidence of:

  • Compliance with both business and industry specific regulations.
  • Adherence to industry sector standards and codes of practice.
  • Risk management procedures and training.
  • Business and Marketing Plans.
  • Human resource management policy and procedures.
  • Customer service policy and procedures.
  • Environmental management policies and procedures.
  • Specialised activity policies and procedures.
  • Vehicle operations policies and procedures.

The Camp & Adventure Program forms part of the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF). The QTF is a business pathway to support the continuous growth and development of Australian tourism businesses.
